Ok, here’s just a little inspiration for you. Try making this yummy crochet – a weekend project, for this upcoming storm that’s approaching us.
This is the perfect opportunity to save a spot in your favorite chair, make a cup of nice refreshing ginger/honey tea and just relax. That’s true hygge/-cosiness for a dane like me!!
Yummy crochet – a weekend project
Sometimes I get bitten by a mad crochet hook, and throw myself into new and wacky projects. This time it resulted in a small range of food, cacao and cakes for my youngest daughter’s kitchen. What a great success!
Crochet is like a kind of meditation for me. It is simply impossible to worry about meal planning and laundry while I crochet. However, I am still able to keep as much contact with the outside world that I can sit and niggle in the front of a good movie in the same time. Fantastic!
I am so happy that I found this book when I last time visited the universe of Barnes & Nobles. I would love to buy the whole store when I go there, but I also know that I’m not always ending up reading (all of them). But I don’t care, I love the coziness of the books in my home. And I tell myself that one day, I will read them!! haha…
Anyway, I love this book and I immediately got hooked, so to speak. There’s tons of inspiration and they are easy to follow.
I always told myself that I have difficulties in reading and following a crochet recipe, but nope. This book shows it nicely step-by-step on how to do it.
What I especially like about this book “Yummy Crochet” by Kirsten Rask, is that she illustrate the different knots in details. As a dane that is nice, since we call the knots different names, so a little guidance/translation was nice for me.
I just hope you to get inspired to do something creative too, so light up the hook and enjoy a weekend in the name of crochet.
