As a funny and easy-to-make Easter snack – try making these Rice Krispies Treats.
It takes a few minutes to mix the ingredients and shape the treats – and that can be neat when cooking with kids ;o)
You can shape whatever you like by using your hands and mold the lukewarm Rice Krispies mass – or flatten it out on a baking tray and use a cookie cutter to cut out shapes (when it is cooled down) for decorating.
You can use any flavored marshmallows and Cocoa Krispies too – and even add a few drops of food color too.
Put a little bit of oil on your hands while molding the treats – or else it can be very sticky!!
When done let them rest for about 15 minutes.
But eat same day ;o)
Rice Krispies Treats

1 package of regular Marshmallows 10 oz. (about 40 pieces) or 4 cups Miniature Marshmallows
. (For best result, use fresh Marshmallows!)
3 tablespoons butter
6 cups Rice Krispies Cereal
Decoration:
Place Marshmallows and butter in a microwave-safe bowl and heat for about 1 minute. Stir until smooth.
Add the Rice Krispies Cereal and mix until well coated.
Spread evenly on wax paper or coated pan and press mixture.
Cool.
Use a buttered Spatula/Cookie Cutters
to cut out shapes. – Or use (greased) hands to mold your own.
It’s only your imagination can set the limit for how it will turn out!
You can decorate by dipping in melted white chocolate and Sprinkles
and place on eyes
so your monster becomes “alive”.
Enjoy!
Note:
You can use 1 jar (7 oz) of Marshmallow Creme Spread instead of Marshmallows
.
To freeze, place in layers separated by wax paper in airtight container. Freeze for up to 6 weeks.
Let stand at room temperature for 15 minutes before serving.
