Here’s another favorite – which not only my kids love; the Overnight Oats Chocolate Chia Combo!
Yep! It’s oats the fun way ;o)
This easy breakfast recipe actually got my kids to start eating the healthy oats again! And I love when they start the morning with a solid breakfast that will keep them full and ready for a long day at school!
However, sometimes I also like to treat myself in the mornings with a chocolate combo – the healthy way. I simply feel so full after this, that I cannot cheat or eat any sweets in a long time hereafter! Thats, the kind of win-win I love!
Sometimes we just need to treat ourself with something good, and sometimes you need a little sweet to begin the day with, right?
You can find a basic recipe for overnight oats in Overnight Oats with Chia Seeds – and you can of course vary that like you feel.
I hope you will try this combination of overnight oats with double chocolate and chia in a combo. It’s a must-try!
Overnight Oats Chocolate Chia Combo
To make the overnight oats you begin by mixing all the ingredients in a Glass Jar (14-Ounce) with a lid.
If you don’t want to add chia, just don’t add as much milk.
(You can mix any spices, sweeteners, or dried fruit you like into the oats and milk. You can also use any milk, non-dairy milk or water as liquid.)
Then you store the mix in a glass jar or another airtight container and let the oats soak for at least three hours, ideally overnight.
When you take it out of the fridge in the morning, you can add fresh fruit, nuts, yogurt and other favorite toppings to your oatmeal.
In this case I topped with my own homemade Vanilla Yogurt and some chocolate chips.
Enjoy!
