My oldest daughter came home the other day with a pig made out of Hama Perler Beads in 3D!
And it was simply sooo cool and cute that we immediately started making different versions of 3D figures out of our large collection of Hama Perler Beads.
I just tell you!! It’s so much fun and so much magic to put the pieces together after much concentration and fine motor working.
It’s fun, easy, creative and can be done outside or inside – and the fact that you get something out of it, that you can hold in your hands and play with afterwards, is worth all the effort.
Now it’s summer vacation for most kids, and if you are looking for some creative entertainment for your kiddos, this an excellent idea!
Hama Perler Beads in 3D
To make a Rubrik’s Cube:
You need:
9 different colors of Hama Perler Beads
iron
Start by making 6 squares with 9 (3×3) squares in each.
Randomise your colors as you like
Add black in between the small squares to separate the colors.
NOW:
make the outer edge/side of each of the six squares:
Make two of each, so the sides will match like a puzzle when done.
Iron both sides lightly (with Ironing Paper in between).
Cool down and put together.
Our next project is to make a farm with all kinds of square animals – my youngest daughter said she needed that! 😜
My son wants to make ALL the Minecraft figures!!
– so I guess we’ll be entertained a whole lot with Hama Perler Beads this summer! :o)
Have fun too!!
XOXO
