When you want to do something good for yourself try making a cup of steaming, aroma-filled ginger/honey tea. Thats a tea that will treat you good from inside and out.
There is nothing better than finding a stack of old magazines and just hang out in your favorite chair. No plans, just let time pass and enjoy the moment.
I mostly drink coffee in the morning but after two cups I always switch to tea. And making your own tea is fantastic especially this one because ginger and honey both are so good for you. Sometimes I make tea from anise. As a true dane we love the licorice taste, and my stella tea is like heaven!
GINGER/HONEY TEA
The only thing it requires to make your own ginger and honey tea is a little piece ( about 1 inch) of peeled, fresh ginger.
You can slice it or grate it as you like and add more if you like the taste more intense.
First you add the ginger to a glass, then your poor over boiling water and let it sit for a few minutes.
Next you have to decide if you want to keep the ginger in the tea or not. I like to keep it there so the tea gets a more intense taste. But do as you prefer.
Finally you add 1 tablespoon of honey. I use a nice locally one and feel that I can taste the difference.
Enjoy – and feel refreshed!
Benefits of honey:
Honey is well known as a remedy that can reduce cough and throat irritation. Its anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and probiotic. It is also fantastic in healing wounds and burns and finally it says it gives you beautiful skin.
It is important that the honey is cold slung – otherwise it has no medical effect and will contain no vitamins and minerals.
Benefits of ginger:
Ginger is known for being an excellent repulser of nausea, soothes pain and inflammation. It can help you relieve menstrual cramps, reduces bloating after meals, relieves nasal congestion and sore throat.
