Fun fact about Fathers day
Father’s day is celebrated worldwide, to the celebrate fatherhood and male parenting and to complement Mother’s Day.
First time Father’s Day was celebrated was on June 19, 1910 in Washington.
A woman called Sonora Smart Dodd had heard about Mother’s Day in 1909 and told her pastor that she thought all fathers should have a similar holiday.
The local clergymen agreed to the idea and the first Father’s Day sermon was given on June 19, 1910.
Sonora’s father raised six children as a single parent, and because of Sonora we can now celebrate all the fathers every year like the mothers too.
Have a happy Father’s Day!!
psst… Fathers Day is june 16. 2019
Father’s Day Gift
HOW TO:
When you want to make a shadow photo for a gift for fathers day, you really don’t need much preparing.
Most important is that its sunny ;o)
First and most important we used white Foam Boards (20 x 30 Inches) and wrote our message on them with a pencil, and traced it over with a marker.
Then I cut it out out with a Hobby Knife.
Now you go outside and find a spot in the sun.
Flip the bords upside-down and place the kid(s) with the sun in the back, and let them lift their boards up in the air.
Take the picture. Snap! That’s it.
Then I edited the pictures and turned it into black and white however, that is not necessary (just my taste). The shadows are black anyway ;o) and the effects gets just as gorgeous in colors!!
Finally you just print and arrange your photo in a nice frame – and you’ll have the perfect Father’s Day Gift!!
Have fun making your happy memory for your daddy.
