Ok, I went a little crazy with the crochet hook again. This time I had fun making these cute coffee monsters, to keep my French press coffee hot!
I love my Bodum French Press but do do not like that my coffee cools down too fast.
When I searched around and couldn’t find any warmers for my Bodum Press, so I decided that I would make one myself. And honestly, I like the outcome a lot, and smile every time I use it!
The French Press coffee warmer or Cozy Coffee Monster as I like to call it is very easy to make and is a nice project for an evening or a rainy day.
What crochet knots should I know?
You only need to know four different crochet knots to make your own Cozy Coffee Monster;
- slip stitch (sl st),
- chain stich (ch),
- double crochet (dc)
- and treble crochet (trc)
When you are finished with your coffee warmer you’ll just have to add the Eyes and your monster comes alive!
Have fun – and enjoy your HOT coffee from your Bodum French Press!!

Har du opskriften på dansk? 😍
Hej Maria,
Nej, det har jeg desvaerre ikke, da jeg har udviklet den efter jeg tilpassede mig den amerikanske maade for hvad man kalder knuderne.
Hvis du har brug for hjaelp maa du endelig sige til.
I really like your little monster and it will be perfect for my French press. Only I dont understand how the monster looks like in the back where the handle is. Is he a pull over or is there buttons on the back? Can you post a photo of the handle view? And is the top connected to the body or separate? Thank you from Tired of cold coffee in Pennsylvania
The coffee monster is a one piece sleeve you pull over the French press. There’s an opening at the back for the handle to come out. Good luck!
