Have you found a Father’s Day Gift yet? This shadow photo is a wonderful way to preserve a memory in time! And can be used in any occasion!
The kids love the idea and the magic of writing messages in the shadows!
It’s soooo kind of magic!
Father’s Day Gift
It doesn’t take much preparing.
I used 2 white Foam Boards (20 x 30 Inches) and cut them i half.
Then I wrote the message and cut it out out with a Hobby Knife.
Flip the bords upside-down and place the kid(s) with the sun in the back.
I edited the pictures and turned it into black and white – but actually, that is not necessary (just my taste) – the shadows are black anyway ;o) and the effect just as gorgeous in colors!!
Print and arrange in a nice frame – and you’ll have the perfect Father’s Day Gift!!
Father’s day is celebrated worldwide, to recognize the contribution that fathers (-and father figures, grandfathers and great-grandfathers!) make to the lives of their children.
Father’s Day started in the early 20th century in the United States to celebrate fatherhood and male parenting and to complement Mother’s Day. It was first celebrated on June 19, 1910 in Spokane, Washington at the YMCA by Sonora Smart Dodd. She heard about Mother’s Day in 1909 and told her pastor she thought fathers should have a similar holiday. Her father raised six children as a single parent. The local clergymen agreed to the idea and the first Father’s Day sermon was given on June 19, 1910.
Have a happy Father’s Day!!
