This is the most authentic pizza dough and sauce you can find in the whole world! – And it’s super fast and easy to make too!!
It really only takes 2 minutes to make the sauce and 10 minutes to make the dough!
(However the dough will need to rise for a least 1.5 hour)
And what if I tell you, that you can make it on your own Weber Grill??
Give it a try and you will never buy a premade pizza again!
Authentic Pizza Dough and Sauce
Ingredients: (5 pizze)
0.5 tablespoon dry active yeast
1.5 cups water
1 tablespoon honey or sugar
4 cups of flour (preferable Tipo 00 flour)
2 tablespoons of salt
2 tablespoons of olive oil
Activate the dry yeast in the luke warm water by adding honey (or sugar). When it start to bubble, the yeast is ready for the rest of the ingredients.
Add the rest of the ingredients and knead the dough well – preferably for 10-15 minutes!
Let the dough rise, covered, for at least 1.5 hour, or until double size. Punch it down and push out the air.
Form 3-5 dough balls, by wrapping the outer layer around the outer side until you have a silky smooth skin on the ball.
Dust a baking tray with flour and place the balls.
Cover with plastic wrap to prevent the dough from drying out.
If you are planning on using the dough later (more than an hour) – refrigerate.
The trick is to use a Pizza Stone and place it on your Weber Grill.
Heat up the grill to minimum 400 degree Fahrenheit.
Use a Pizza Peel to lift you pizza to/from the stone.
Bake the pizza (under the lid) for about 8 minutes.
Pizza Sauce: (10 pizze)
1 Can of Tomato Sauce or crushed/diced tomatoes
1 teaspoon of garlic powder
1 teaspoon of dried Oregano
1 teaspoon of dried Basil
1 tablespoon of olive oil
salt and pepper
Mix all the ingredients – you dont’t have to heat it up.
Store in a Jar until use.
